Based in Grinnell, Iowa, multi-instrumentalists Katie In and Erik Jarvis have worked patiently on their songwriting crafts since their teenage years. The deft and diverse output of Pink Neighbor makes this apparent, as they draw from the American Songbook, vintage global-psychedelia, lounge and film scores, and anything that makes for a nice thread in their sonic quilt.

Since forming in 2016, Pink Neighbor has released two self-produced EPs, a cassette tape, and a full-length produced with Patrick Tape Fleming (Gloom Balloon) and engineered by Patrick Stolley (formerly of Daytrotter). Each new recording demonstrates steady growth and showcases their comfortable and earnest approach to making music.

Pink Neighbor’s music has been featured on KHOI Community Radio, KURE Ames Alternative, and Iowa Public Radio. Their engaging live show and eclectic sound have made them an in-demand act to book, sharing the stage with a diverse array of artists, such as Squirrel Flower, Ratboys, Pieta Brown & Bo Ramsey, Hayley Heynderickx, and Sinkane.

The true magic of Pink Neighbor comes from the way they create and experience community. Their recordings and music videos feature their actual neighbors, and when they perform, they may invite you to participate in a lightly-choreographed group dance, or to “raise a glass” with them.
