Co-presented with UI Belin-Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development
The Window is a podcast produced by the University of Iowa’s Belin-Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, Josh Jacobs, and David Gould. Hosted by Dr. Nicholas Colangelo, guests include Adam Grant, Michael Crow, Tony Wagner, Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, and Natalie Merchant.
The Window will be recorded live in front of the Mission Creek Festival audience, with noted teacher, speaker, strength-based performance coach – and now author, Dan Lerner, as the guest. Dan teaches the popular NYU class, “The Science of Happiness,” and his first book, U Thrive: How to Succeed in College (and Life) will be published this spring. The program will focus on Dan’s new book, his “The Science of Happiness” class, among other topics.
About Dan Lerner:
As instructor of the ever-popular NYU course, “The Science of Happiness,” and as author of U Thrive (April), Dan Lerner is using positive psychology to help people lead happy lives. Using cutting-edge research into how executives, artists, and athletes overcome anxiety, Lerner is teaching us to achieve well-being, rediscover our core strengths, and define success—on our own terms.
As a teacher, speaker, and strengths-based performance coach, Daniel Lerner is an expert in positive and performance psychologies. His key message is that developing a healthy (and happy!) psychological state has a profound impact on the pursuit of excellence—and he brings this uplifting message to students, established and high-potential performing artists and athletes, and numerous Fortune 500 companies and executives. His first book U Thrive: How to Succeed in College (and Life), co-authored with Alan Schlechter, will be published in April 2017 by Little, Brown, and Company.
