Mikey Rocks (Antoine Reed) and Chuck Inglish (Evan Ingersoll) are The Cool Kids, a duo we thought was lost in the iconic sound of the mid 2000’s hip hop scene. After taking a hiatus due to a multitude of issues, the famous duo announced their return in the summer of 2016.
This classic rap duo met in the Chicagoland area with the intention of producing beats for other artists. Without even passing their Myspace phase, the two received traction on their beats and played Pitchfork music festival as their career took off. Since emerging as an underground sensation, the pair have had collaborations both together and individually with artists such as Chip tha Ripper, Asher Roth, Yelawolf, Ivan Ives, The Bloody Beetroots, Drake, Travis Barker, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Mac Miller, Maroon 5, and Curren$y among many others.
The Cool Kids played Mission Creek Festival in 2009 to a sold out room. If you missed their performance in 2009, then we suggest you make like The Cool Kids in their dope track, “Bassment Party” and take a minute to pump up the jams like they do, “And if you knowin’ what it is, there’s a party at the crib, come and party with the kids.” Because this is a reunion show you do not want to miss.
