About Deb Olin Unferth

Deb Olin Unferth (pictured top) is the author of five books, including the story collection Wait Till You See Me Dance and the graphic novel I, Parrot. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Harper’s, The Paris Review, Granta, Vice, Tin House, the New York Times, and McSweeney’s. She received four Pushcart Prizes, a Creative Capital grant, and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. An associate professor at the University of Texas in Austin, she also runs the Pen-City Writers, a creative writing program at the John B. Connally Unit, a penitentiary in southern Texas.

About Andrea Lawlor

Andrea Lawlor (pictured bottom) has been awarded fellowships by Lambda Literary and Radar Labs, and their writing has appeared in Ploughshares, Mutha, The Millions, jubilat, The Brooklyn Rail, and elsewhere. Their publications include a chapbook, Position Papers (Factory Hollow Press, 2016), and a novel, Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl (Rescue Press, 2017). They live in Western Massachusetts with their family.
