About

General Info

Mission Creek Festival is an intimate festival experience in downtown Iowa City each spring for 6 days with most venues within a 5-minute walk of each other.

Thriving on immediacy and cross-medium experiences, we turn music lovers onto new lit, writers onto new music, and expand everyone’s appreciation of arts, community, and culture. We embrace live performance, literary arts, and radical community happenings.

We are the music festival with deep literary roots, the literary gathering with music and other happenings tucked around the edges, and the cultural experience that rivets both locals and visitors.

The festival is presented and produced by The Englert Theatre, Iowa City’s 105-year-old historic performing arts organization.
